COMMUNITY CANCER SCREENINGS Breast Cancer Screening During October, National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Decatur General offers reduced-price screening mammograms to encourage women who have never had a mammogram and those who cannot afford one to have this screening. The screening is designed for women with no previous symptoms, and a radiologist reading is included. Prostate Cancer Screening Prostate cancer is highly curable if detected early. Each August, Decatur General offers a prostate cancer screening which includes a PSA blood test and examination. The screening takes only 20 minutes, but can save a life from cancer through early detection. |
