This cookbook includes more than 300 recipes ranging from mint juleps to basil grilled chicken to praline cheesecake. Southern Settings combines some of the region's favorite recipes with original art and innovative photography. Country scenes and various local historic homes are featured. In addition, anecdotes and tips on certain cooking techniques are located in the margins of the pages. Recipes were collected from Valley area residents, restaurateurs and caterers. As the Southern region winner of the 1997 TABASCO® Community Cookbook Award, Southern Settings was praised for its delightful menus, local history vignettes, photography and artwork.
