Lights of Love

Each December, hospital employees and volunteers help plan Lights of Love, a tree-lighting ceremony that exemplifies the holiday spirit. Proceeds from last year's event benefited the Community Free Clinic of Decatur-Morgan County.

Each light on the tree represents a gift made to the Foundation in honor or memory of someone special. This gift of placing a symbolic light on the tree in honor or memory of someone special to you is $15. An attractive card and invitation to the tree-lighting is sent to those honored or to the families memorialized.

There is no cost to attend the ceremony, which includes holiday songs, tree-lighting and refreshments.

Gala

Each December, this black-tie event features a dinner and silent auction. Three individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the community are chosen by the Foundation board to be honored at this event.

Celebration of Life

Each October, hundreds of cancer survivors, families and hospital employees gather for one of our most joyful celebrations of the year. This picnic is a true affirmation of the bright future that awaits so many who have experienced cancer.

Decatur General Foundation Fourth Annual Golf Classic


In the spring, the Foundation hosts a golf tournament to raise money for a variety of healthcare services. Our 3rd annual tournament was a success, raising thousands of dollars for new Oncology Center Equipment.
