ADOLESCENT INPATIENT PROGRAM
The Adolescent Inpatient Program is designed to serve adolescents, ages 12 to 18. Typically, teens admitted to this program are experiencing emotional and behavioral problems such as depression, mood swings and suicidal thinking. The program is designed to provide a caring environment where teens can learn to address their issues and learn more appropriate skills for handling them. Family therapy is a key element in helping family members learn to work together in a healthier manner. The length of stay in the program is determined by the attending psychiatrist and the treatment goals set.
Program activities include individual psychotherapy, group psychotherapy, family therapy and chemical dependency education. River City Academy, our school program, allows adolescents to continue their education while completing treatment.
